Feb 8, 2021 Yeah, but that’s like @Enigma disliking the San Fran area teams due to living there but cheering for other teams. It’s a proximity thing. Steelers fans around here hate the Eagles, but wouldn’t for any logical reason other than living in Philadelphia and not being an eagles fan. half the football fans love to see Brady succeed because they get to claim they witnessed the greatness firsthand, the other half despises him. but that’s literally with anything or anyone that great.
Feb 8, 2021 Hard disagree. The national distaste for NE comes from Brady and his longevity. More people hate him than like him and I don’t even think that’s an argument. I think most reasonable adults respect the Patriot organization to a certain extent. Not a lot of people exactly dancing on the grave of the 7-9 Pats this year, at least from my experience. Had Brady and Tampa gone 7-9? Every hater with a pulse coming out of the woodwork.
Feb 8, 2021 Just gonna have to agree to disagree on that one. I think the awe of Brady is equal to the dismay. regardless, it’s more fun when he’s in it than not
Feb 8, 2021 made some $$ on the game, wish I bet more honestly..Not sure why 80% of the people were convinced the less experienced QB and worse defense would win...and yea i know how dangerous KC can be. was my 1st time betting on the super bowl and enjoyed it..got into sports gambling last year shortly after the super bowl. Excited for the draft coming up since that's imo the best way to make $$ gambling on football, most reliable way to profit. Brady is the undisputed GOAT if he wasn't already.
Feb 8, 2021 to be fair: if both QBs switched teams last night, the result would have been the same. Mahomes arguably puts up more points lol. The loss def ain’t on him.
Feb 8, 2021 That's one h--- of a theory, nothing to back it up imo..Sure Mahomes is mostly great, but last night he wasn't. and yes I know it's due to the lack of time he had, but still..can't just assume he'd have a great game cuz he mostly does. Can always do the 'what if' game, but it's usually pretty pointless..
Feb 8, 2021 I would say most people hate Brady, not because of his success (although for some that would the case) but moreso the way he acts. He whines all the time to the refs, deflate gate labeled him a cheater and they were already labeled cheaters from spy gate. He left NE to go to a super team, it's not like he went to the Jets. And he's a MAGA boy who kisses his family on the lips. Don't get me wrong I think he's one of the greatest QB's of all time, he's just easy to dislike.
Feb 8, 2021 Kon....Mahomes was pressured on a majority of his pass attempts last night. Brady on the other hand was pressured on 4 pass attempts lol. The only reason the Chiefs were able to somewhat move the ball & put points on the board was because of Mahomes mobility. A 43 year old Tom Brady in the same circumstances would have not been able to run around, evade pressure & deliver passes like we saw Mahomes attempt to do last night. Just to be clear: I don’t think any QB could have genuinely played well in Mahomes position. Literally everything around him was falling apart. I’d also note that I don’t think Mahomes played all that bad, everything considered. He was literally throwing 30 yard strikes while being dragged to the ground & hitting his receivers in the face mask lol. You can’t ask anything more of your franchise QB under those circumstances.
Feb 9, 2021 Mahomes was running for his life the whole game because he had no protection. You can't blame that man at all
Feb 9, 2021 Idk man, he had some beautiful throws, but I can’t move past his 2 INTs in a super bowl. No show may be a strong term, but he definitely wasn’t himself that game for sure. and let’s be honest, they’re probably going to win it all next year anyway lmao
Feb 12, 2021 There are maybe 2 QBs in the league that I think could have played as well as Mahomes given the circumstances. His effort was truly impressive. He wasn’t perfect, far from his best but like he played decent everything considered.
