    Underrated would be saying that no one appreciated his music and he wasn't popular which is not true at all. Akon was huge then suddenly disappeared. He was rated

    Akon is underated. His era from 04-09 had multiple great smash hits

    He's released (or they were leaked) several singles in the last few years. I remember one about a year ago that was decent but otherwise very forgettable. He hasn't released an album in a decade because the music he's making sucks
