May 30, 2017 Dudes whole career is one big quotable! His first album was an underground classic that influenced a lot of the lyrical New York rappers from the mid to late 90s like Jay Z, Camron, Cormega, etc His 2nd posthumous album has some of my favorite hip hop records of all time. d--- f---ing shame he didn't get to finish that album properly.

May 30, 2017 Honestly don't think there's another big rapper alive who could compete with the lyrical dexterity on Em's verse on speedom. Imagine Jay Nas Biggie Kanye PAC Game, anyone being able to write verses like that. Just technically I mean. And this was Marshall in the twilight of his career just messing around, 20 years down the line. Having already cemented himself as one of the best ever, and certainly the biggest. I'm not saying he's better those artists by any means but he's so versatile and persistently dedicated to trying to improve, more than anyone ever, even if this actually makes the music worse. At his peak aka 98-2002 I don't think anyone could roast him, although you could obviously prefer other artists.
