Best Posts: Been working on my debut EP for about 2 years, I just narrowed it down to 8 tracks.

8 is already album length tbh if the songs are on average 3-4 minutes, 10 is just a classic formula though so maybe you wanna go w/ that although i think for a smaller artist short and sweet is definitely the best way to go try to keep your project the least bloated it could possibly be cant even stress enough how important that is

edit: i also think releasing a full length project rather than an ep is a smart choice there's a certain level of professionalism and satisfaction that lacks from an ep listen imho. Not always though obviously a lot of amazing eps out there but if you already got 8 songs i say do an album

i would add 0 filler to a debut so if you got 8 that you're solid with just release it as whatever you want to release it as earl has released like 2 30 minute albums dont feel like u needa call it an EP just because you feel its short that stuff barely matters these days

I was wondering if I should keep it at 8 tracks or add 2 more tracks? It's an EP so I guess 8 is passable but idk what do you guys think, is 8 a good amount for a project?
