@Pinhead here is the database I have created ! 237 matches that I watched during 2017 and rated and color coated, with competitors , date, event, titles stipulations and company included

    all searchable and categorized

other people that may be interested
    @Raziel @Gloku @Devil White @Sign Language @tomroe93 @Wzzi

It's a collection of stuff that I just searched out and watched and stuff that happened real-time in 2017

I left the last few matches I rated uncategorized just so ya'll could see the last stuff I had been watching (I haven't updated this since October 2017)

I worked REALLY hard on this so if any of ya'll would like to use it and give your opinions on how I could make it better or check the accuracy of the dates/events/etc that would be nice

and overall just give me your opinion, what do you think about my collection and how I rated the matches? see any names higher or lower than you thought you would? disagree with my yellow matches (five star matches)? Are there any matches that you believe I should add to the database?

EDIT: It is mainly singles matches, but you can unhide the cells B to E to see third and fourth competitors of some tag team and threeway/fourway matches

That was so epic. That Suicide doll Frankie found lol.

    Notes from WOR:

    - NO TV yet, but MULTIPLE OFFERS.
    - Guys are being signed to multi-year contracts. All the name's you'd expect to be offered contracts are being offered contracts. Bucks haven't signed, but Cody has. Others have.
    - Nick Jackson said he couldn't believe it, but it's real. Ran into Dave at an arcade, like I'm gonna believe that.
    - Double or Nothing is the next thing. Makes sense that you'd want a similar outcome to All In if they're going to do it, and that was the turning point for getting TV people interested.
    - Jericho tweeted a photo from a Jacksonville Jaguars game. He's not signed, Dave speculates it could be a message to Japan/WWE/AEW and they probably all think it's for them.
    - Lots obviously happening behind the scenes, more coming in the next week.
    - Tokyo Dome and New Years Dash show the next day are going to be very "interesting" - lots of angles. They want to keep a relationship with New Japan, but Dave doesn't know where New Japan or ROH stand on working with them.

I can't even right now fam, this is wild. This is me, but the success or failure of this depends on how companies lock down their talent. ROH/New Japan need to be all in on this, if AEW can get TV and they're willing to highlight guys from ROH or New Japan, that only helps those companies.

    Edit

Wrestle Kingdom has now outsold last year's. This thing could actually sell out.

I think Jericho will have a better wrestling match with Naito. Naito style will better suit Chris imo

@Raziel here is the realhero archive for literally all puroresu (Japanese wrestling) not regularly viewable in America....I'm talking Stardom, Dragon gate, a dozens of others I'm sure none of us here have even heard about. This has stuff decades old and in pretty sure new stuff too.

    https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/0B5rK95X3mRiiSDNvTnQ0aUhWODg?usp=drive_web

Here is an archive entirely dedicated to AJPW (featuring the 90s, with the likes of Kenta Kobashi and Mitsuharu Misawa-- both of which have the most 5* matches awarded by Dave Meltzer, over 40 5* matches combined).

    https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/0Bwpbsa8C2iSmZXJuaE44bm40eHc?usp=sharing

I recommend going to cagematch.com, it's a wrestling database. When you find the profile of ANY wrestler, you can view a match guide which lists ALL of their matches with appropriate dates, event names, and Meltzer star ratings. Go there and sort by match rating, and decide on any match you want to watch.

Using those two archives you can pinpoint the year and event the matches took place, and stream them.

    My recommendations:

Kenta Kobashi and Misawa had a legendary string of matches in 97, 98, & 99 in AJPW, and one in 2003 in NOAH. The 2003 NOAH match is my pick for greatest wresting match ever.

Other than that I've also watched a lot of All Japan Women's wrestling. Many people that have been watching since the 80s and 90s site Manami Toyota as the greatest women's wrestler (and one of the best wrestlers period) of all time. My favorite WWE women's match is Natalya Vs Charlotte in NXT...I never thought a woman could have a 5* match. I was wrong. Use her cage match profile to find matches with Aja Kong, Kyoko Inoue, Toshiyo Yamada, and Akira Hokuto. They are LEGENDARY.

    I specifically recommend these:

Toyota & Toshiyo Yamada vs Dynamite Kensai & Mayumi Ozaki 12/6/1993 (MY FAVORITE TAG MATCH EVER)
    Toyota vs Aja Kong 11/20/1994
    Toyota vs Akira Hokuto 9/2/1995

I had a blast catching up on all of this stuff over the past year.

If you find yourself liking the style of these matches and want more, I can recommend you a ton of other matches.

    Sorry if it's information overload

my thoughts on the non filler matches tonight

    Lethal vs Hangman Page ***1/4
Zack Sabre Jr vs Juice Robinson ***1/2
    War machine vs G O D ***3/4
    Naito vs Ishii ****1/4
    Omega vs Elgin ****1/2
    Okada vs Cody ****1/4

Sloppier than the ordinary NJPW show but still everyone brought that excellent NJPW brand of profesional wrestling and gave their all to put on a great showing for the company

you know you're spoiled when a three match string like that is what you expect from NJPW
