Aug 27, 2017When I worked at Wendy's, people collected cash from customers without ringing in the order, then we went to IHOP after work with the $100 or so and it covered a 3am breakfast. Also someone once handed out a box cutter in a kids meal. And another time, a loose screw was served in a chicken sandwich. The chili meat is just old burnt hamburger meat. One of the managers was drunk pretty often and would flash her t-ts to us teenagers. And we once had a hamburger food fight and got some raw meat in the Frosty machine. Someone had sex in the walk-in cooler. I actually wrote a book about my time there

been job hunting for a while & came across some funny unofficial "requirements" and prodecures.
for example, my local (found out in general) publix only reserves family, meaning no matter how qualify you are, the boss' snobby son who doesn't wanna work gets the spot.
My sister, who worked at sonic, said they use the same dirty rag to clean cups and equipments.
If yoy are Middle Eastern, you can be the manager of any gas station.
what things you found out from working at certain spots?VR46, BSCalrissian, Mudkip and 5 others like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

me and my friends were smoking weed in like grade 9 or 10 on a trail beind a RONA (like another version of home depot in canda with a lumber yard) and this truck came up the road and we thought it was cops and started to get a bit paranoid
the guys came up and shined lights in our faces and asked if we were smoking weed
we didnt answer and they cut the chainlink fence to the lumber yard open and strated stealing shingles and they said if we helped them they'd give us more weed
we were scared as f--- so we did it anyway they gave us the weed and went off

Expensive nursing homes are just as gross and careless as cheap ones. When you visit your loved one, watch the nurses. Is the b---- wearing gloves? Is she washing her hands before and after tending to them? Does your loved one's personality change when nurses enter the room? If you're comfortable, check the body for red spots. That's a sign of neglect that leads to bed sores. Ask about their liquids. Do they have access to water? Dehydration deaths are common yet preventable.
Honestly, once my grandparents get in bad condition, I'll probably take care of them myself. Being around family boosts their mood and improves their health anyway. But if you're selfish, don't take on the task. Put them in a home but visit regularly. They always look so lonely.Ordinary Joel, Wreckless, Sqrt Sqrt and 1 other person like this. -

Subway's bread ain't fresh depending on location and manager and the lettuce, meat and cheese are preshredded. Don't eat the seafood salad. If you eat the tuna ask them when it was made.Sqrt Sqrt, Ordinary Joel, Buu and 1 other person like this. -

I worked at some theater, you know carrying stuff like costumes, then placing all kinds of equipment on stage etc. and when the show was over and we were putting stuff back in their places,my shift was over, I was preparing to go home and I saw this guy dressed in a bear that looked like he was giving head to some guy in a tuxedo,he looked at me and the tuxedo guy as well,it was pretty scary,I ran off after they saw me.Last edited: Aug 26, 2017VR46, SleepyGhost, Michael Myers and 1 other person like this. - Jul 20, 2025

Back in the days I used to work at vegetables magazine, where we used to sort vegetables for different kinds of packed salads. Sometimes people were biting vegetables just for the f--- of it, then they were putting these bitten vegetables into the pack. There were situations when manager was putting out-dated salads into the fresh mix, just to get rid of it. Some guys didn't wash their hands after the toilet. Awful job.Skippy, Ordinary Joel and Sqrt Sqrt like this.
