I didn't hear Below the Heavens until 2011 when some people on SL put me onto it, but it's one of those albums that so distinctly reminds me a period of my life—specifically, of fall-winter 2011, when I was newly single, had just turned 21, and was genuinely happy after being in such a downer of a relationship. All my high school friends were home for Thanksgiving and we were able to go out to bars together for the first time. Around 3AM I ended up walking back to my mom's house from frat row (lol) at UW which was about four or five miles away, but I just put that album on and had a long, peaceful walk home. Didn't get home till almost 5am but it was the perfect soundtrack.
