MMLP is one of my top 3 rap albums of all-time. Dre & Mel-Man's production is top notch. Sharpest penmanship of Em's career. Bass Brothers at their best. Xzibit killed his verse. Sticky Fingaz had one of the greatest verses of all-time. Superb storytelling (Stan & Kim). Not a bad hook on the whole disc. This album is perfect.

nah, MMLP is the more flawless album of the two. plus, eminem clearly raps better on MMLP.

i don't get the hype behind eminem show. don't get me wrong, i like it and its a good album, but its not better than MMLP or SSLP

This 100%. Em's ferocity and hunger on MMLP is rarely seen in hip hop. This amount of pure fire on one album is in rare company. There's probably only a few rap albums that contain so many tracks with so many blistering verses. Not to mention the perfect production by Dre and Mel Man and the Bass Brothers. Those beats capture the early 2000s perfectly and mesh nearly impeccably with Em's lyrics and hooks. Plus I love how many of the songs have hooks which are slightly different after each verse and I also love how so many tacks have pre-hooks, and again with some of them being slightly different after each verse.

MMLP is not only a nearly perfect work of art, it's a f---ing time capsule. The Eminem Show is also historic, and he sounds more mature and self aware on this album, but I give MMLP the slight edge. I prefer the "unknown, comical, aggressive, outspoken but not-PC, ready to explode at any moment take s--- from no one, unpredictable, borderline psycho who calls out bs and isn't afraid of upsetting anyone" eminem on MMLP instead of the more mature, self aware eminem on TES.

The Eminem Show.. Em needs to look back at this album and notice how he d--- near produced the whole thing and did almost every single hook.. This is when he’s at his best.. Needs to stop puttting these b------s on hooks and gettin these random beats from other producers and trying to fit his rhymes/song to the beat.. He just needs to go back and create everything himself.. s--- wouldn’t sound so forced like some of his new stuff seems to
