Oct 31, 2017 Friday, October 27 saw a lot of new albums within the Hip-Hop space, all of them from almost different sub genres from each other. The first week sales projections are now in. Out of the pack, Big K.R.I.T. is leading with his double album 4eva Is A Mighty Long Timeas it’s set to move 30-35k copies in the first week. About 21-24k out of that will be purely from sales. Ty Dolla Sign’s amazing new album Beach House 3, released by Atlantic and featuring plenty of A-list collaborations like Lil Wayne, Pharrell, Future and more, is projected to move 27-30k copies (5-8k pure sales). Yo Gotti’s new album I Still Am, which released last Friday after less than 10 days of promo, is looking at 21-24k copies moved in the first seven days (10-12k pure sales) while Yelawolf’s third album Trial By Fire will struggle at bit at 14-17k (12-15k pure sales). Oct 31, 2017 I thought the album has a lot of personality and its pretty good but Yelawolf is just really niche. Not sure what percent of this outcome is the label's fault or consumers' as opposed to just kind of the fact that a lot of people don't vibe with the dude.
Oct 31, 2017 The problem is Yelawolf has had his spotlight it died down after love story but it's okay he has many mixtapes and his first 2 albums done quite well anyway but you don't hear Yelawolf tbf songs on radio over here punk and get tmine feature nobody like demi Lovato or Drake weekend and that's what sells I'm not hating on Yelawolf cause I bumped his old s--- but he's a underground rapper not radio material
Oct 31, 2017 Put things into perspective yela sold like 51k first week with love story and that was before streams were counted how the h--- u do 14k WITH streams?!?!. I don't see yela on shady after this album. Something failed miserably and I don't know if Shady or Yelawolf himself is to blame
