"Giant Turd Sandwich" vs "Flaming Giant Turd Sandwich"

Personally I think "Giant Turd Sandwich" is still the best project from Yelawolf. If he put songs from "Turd Sandwich Jr" on "Flaming Giant Turd Sandwich" instead, it would be much better. I don't like the album though.

Love Story is wayyyyyy better to me.

From the moment I put that album on - it hit me. I love almost all the tracks and fault very little on that album. The only points being... I think it would be a lot stronger with a few less tracks, which I could do without. But it's so consistent and he created his best songs.

TBF, I've only spun twice - I barely made it through listen 1, as I was bored. Then I spun the 2nd time... Marginally better but still the best track to me is Daylight and really the only song from it I LOVE (compared with most from LS) and the 2nd half of the album is very boring and inconsistent to me.

I hate the slow, talky storytelling flow he's doing on most of those tracks. It's not musically compelling, it just feels lazy like he's satisfied with just BARELY rapping and then - about 100 feature hooks to finish off the album just threw off its feeling of consistency.

I think a big part of what makes certain rappers songs feel like theirs, fully, is the hooks and the fact he not only had so much feature hooks (especially when he's such a good hook maker and singer) but finished off the last 3, 4? tracks - all with features? That was wack.

LS was a near classic to me. TBF is average with a few standouts.
