    Shows the decline of people wanting to listen to music for the content and not so much the beat or the melody :ummmm:

    The interview hinted that Eminem’s annoyed by this current trend of “mumble rap”

    content of your song doesn't matter if it's not pleasurable to listen to. the content is good but since it doesn't sound good I listened to it once thought "this is the type of content I would want from an eminem song in 2017" and then am never planning on listening it again except for the first time I listen to the album the whole way through. it has no replay value whatsoever.

    His first three albums had songs with good and "deep" content but they sounded good too. His not so serious songs back then also sounded good. It's pretty much what made him successful in the first place. Déjà Vu on Relapse is another example. Walk on Water sounds trash simple as that. Whether it's the beat the melody the flow the delivery I don't know, it's just unpleasant to listen to.

    What's hilarious is you even admit this song is all content and not about "beat or melody". So tell me what happens after a few listens throughout the week? Where's the replay value? You gonna feel like bumping some music and blast some Walking on water?

    It amazes me how Stans will lower their standards and literally redefine the concept of music and pretentiously put the blame on other people for not liking a s-----y sounding song. With a straight face too. Like you serious? Music is supposed to sound good

    In what era has anyone ever cared more about what a song is about over how it sounds? Are you r-----ed? A song could be talking about the most relatable/realest thing ever but if it sounds like s--- no one cares
