    Notorious killer Charles Manson has died at the age of 83.

    Debra Tate told TMZ Corcoran State Prisoncalled her and said Manson died at 8:13 p.m. Sunday. The prison is now in the process of contacting Manson's victims.

    Prison officials later confirmed that Manson died of natural causes.

    The cult leader was hospitalized in Bakersfield, California last week due to an unspecified illness.


    Manson was said to have been bound to a gurney and covered in blankets as he was taken to various treatments around the facility during his final days. There were five uniformed officers escorting him to and from treatments.
