Nov 23, 2017everybody is gonna hate me for sayin this but Slim Shady lp is overrated, dont get me wrong its a great album but i feel like the production was just mediocre and non-replayable (when was the last time i played my name is, d---, its been too long). slim's wit and storytelling kinda made up for it tho so thats why that album is classic status

Agreed. Definitely a classic but nowhere near in the level of MMLP or TES. A bit overrated but in this site, Relapse seems to be overrated. MMLP 2 is really underrated. -

Most of you are all wrong. His first 3 albums are virtually flawless and every single song has a household line. None of them can possibly be overrated in any way shape or form. You can always say that in hindsight, but for their time they were flawless and I look at them as flawless.
Eminem's most overrated album is MMLP 2. Then after that probably Recovery. His most underrated album is Encore. Encore probably had more classics than MMLP2 and Recovery put together. It did have some fillers, but then again so did the Marshall Mathers LP 2. Encore has Mosh, Toy Soldiers, Yellow Brick Road, Spend Some Time, Never Enough, and Mockingbird. And the rest are decent as well, except for Big Weenie and a--- Like That. If only he had put We As Americans, Ricky Tic Toc and Love You More on the album, then it would have been nearly a classic.
Imagine if Encore was this, and had No Apologies...
1. Curtains Up
2. Evil Deeds
3. Never Enough
4. Yellow Brick Road
5. Toy Soldiers
6. We As Americans
7. No Apologies
8. Paul (skit)
9. My First Single
10. Rain Man
11. Ricky Tic Toc
12. Em calls Paul (skit)
13. Just Lose It
14. One Shot Two Shot
15. Spend Some Time.
16. Love You More
17. Mocking Bird
18. Crazy In Love
19. Final Thought
20. Encore/Curtains

The Eminem Show..
a lot of Stans hail it as the holy grail of em albums, when it's not even better than The SSLPDrunk Irish Man, dkdnfbdjdkdddjdjfvcgfl and reesey like this. -

Monster was good. I think some of u em fans got allergic to pop hooks after REcovery since Em used them too often on the album with same approaches. MMLP2 production was average, very few really good beats, and the rest was either ok or wack. a------ is unlistenable. Love Game beat sucks. Still better beats than Recovery for the most part I guess. Only other problem with MMLP 2 might be the fact that it's all over the place but that's what Marshall Mathers actually like at those times so I wouldn't really mind the fact that he actually used the name MMLP for it.
As for Relapse, definitely the best post hiatus beats were in it but the accents ruined it so much.reesey, jmillithauglybasedgod and pablo godflow like this.Dec 18, 2025(This ad goes away when signing up)
