Dec 8, 2017So i've seen some of you say that Eminem flowed well on Untouchable. Comments like "Well he flowed well on that first part, overall his flow was great". b---- cmon
Do we really need to discuss things as basic as flow and delivery when it comes to a veteran rapper? That's probably the last thing we discuss when we hear a rap song. Unless the delivery was outstanding, it usually isn't the discussion point.
For the last 4 years, everytime there is a new Eminem song my only concern is if his delivery will ruin it.
Not worried about the beat, not worried about the hook, h--- i'm not even worried if i will particularly like the song, just as long as the flow and the vocals are consistent and not a f---in chore to listen to.
To be honest, I'd rather hear a single as bad as "We Made You" than hear him change his flow and vocals 10 times in the span of 1 minute. It would at least be a relieve to hear something that sounds like actual music instead of a robot having a heart attack.

Let's put things in perspective. Lemme post this post hiatus track as an example. Perfect beat timing and delivery. Steady and consistent. Overall just very enjoyable to listen to.
Now go listen to that Walk On Water or Untouchable garbage or any of the material he's put out in the last few years. If you can't hear how off he sounds compared to the beat and the overall rythm of the song, I really don't know what else there is to say but to get your ears checked.
To be clear, i'm not shi--ing on the content of these songs, i'm strictly talking about his delivery which makes it hard to actually enjoy them.n9ne, Holy Water, KingZ and 2 others like this. -

Eminem's new flow is very bad and hard to listen to. The stops during bars and change in emphasis and voice constantly are awful. Easily his biggest weakness and the reason his music isn't good anymoren9ne, Fchkl, Mothrfckr and 1 other person like this. -

His flow is worthy of debate, so I guess I agree with OP in the sense that it shouldn't even be an issue at this stage of his career, but it is. Recovery was the last time he had a consistent flow, despite his delivery not being what everyone might prefer.Last edited: Dec 8, 2017n9ne, KingZ, Ids5621 and 1 other person like this.Mar 20, 2026(This ad goes away when signing up) -

The delivery is terrible if you think it's good then I don't really know what to say. On recovery songs like GTC was perfect so it's not leverytjing after encore I just don't get why he likes this choppy s--- it makes it hard to listen to. -

I sort of agree with the OP. My issue is the choppy stop and go bits, I don’t mind switching up the flow as long as it goes with the beat. I mean look at Tech N9ne, he can use loads of different flows in one song and switch between them, but they are usually all great.
So no, the flow in Untouchable is NOT great, there are are a few bars here and there that are actually really really good but overall, no.
With that said, I actually sort of enjoy the song as a whole. Definitely not a classic but a small step in the right direction imo. Still have hopes for the album! -
