Top 5 most influential album OAT that birthed classics such as Nuthin But A G Thang, f--- Wit Dre Day, and Let Me Ride.
The production was the highlight of the album and created G-Funk, a style that is popular throughout the West Coast. This also signaled a change in the rap game, making New York retire sewer rap for a more gritty and urban production style.

Well today marks the 25th anniversary of one of the greatest and most influential hiphop albums of all time.

An album that introduced G-Funk to the mainstream, who launched the careers of artists like Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Daz Dillinger, Warren G and Kurupt.

An album that brought us classics such as "Nothing But A G Thang", "f--- Wit Dre Day", and "Let Me Ride" amongst others which are still very relevent and well known by all hiphop fans around the world.

    Happy birthday

Let Me Ride such a summer anthem. Whole album is amazing.

Not sure which I prefer this or 2001

If somebody were to ask, "what is hiphop?" I would definitely point them towards this album. This is the definition of a classic. Some of the songs on there will still be known 50 years from now. The same way the Beatles, John Lennon songs are still known today even by the younger generation.

It took me by surprise it was released on 15th of December. I remember hearing it for the first time very clearly. I heard it while trying to get into the genre more. I was listening at the time to all those hip-hop classics such as Ready To Die, The Chronic, The Doggystyle, Regulate G Funk Era, etc.

Absolutely. People can talk s--- about Dre all they want and call him a lazy f---, maybe for good reason, but he will always be a legend and did a lot for rap. Both his albums and carrying artists by producing classic after classic beat.
