"When I got the In Your Head beat, I recorded that and I wasn't sure what to do next. Then when I got the Castles beat, it made sense to me. When Hailie was about to be born I would write letters that I thought maybe one day I'd give her. That's kinda where the concept came from. You know, let me start from the beginning."

In Your Head inspired Castle, which inspired Arose. It's why those 3 work together so well. also confirms they are new songs.

Not sure if this was posted yet but Em gave some pretty good insight and his view on the album. There were some pretty good fan questions, one of them was great which was needed to be said

"I'm looking for something old...2001, Chronic 2001, when you and Dre were collaborating, that was some amazing stuff. Is there anyway in the future that you could pick up off something like that? And produce something for us old schoolers like that again?"

I mean, it's obvious they're new songs to me.

Some people seem to think a different delivery is the indicator of an old song. He changes his tone whenever he wants, I don't know why some act like it's accidental lol.

It's obvious from the writing they are recent.
