    Brillant review.

I liked these parts in particular

The next album will go one or two ways . He will try to get better record sales . Or maybe in a weird way with Revival off the pressure to sell will be off as he will no longer be considered a superstar who has to sell a lot of records & just make an album he wants to make.

I personally never want to hear a Slim Shady song ever again. He is too old for that gimmick. I still enjoy most of his more personal songs.

You hit the nail on the head especially with the idea of "And yet Revival still feels like a missed political opportunity. Em can still get caustic, but his approaches to what he clearly considers serious songs and his goofier material are totally distinct from one another. It robs the serious stuff of its levity and wit, and robs the lighter fare from any bite it might otherwise have. "

You cant take a guy serious on songs such as Bad Husband when he makes poop jokes

Not a lot is said about the actual album though. This is more like Eminem as a political influence, with a few songs from the album mentioned as a side note. I do agree it would be interesting to see where Eminem goes when he doesn't worry about sales and charts.

Have @WPG And @Swizz become some sort of double act? Anywhere i go on the forum where one of them has been active they're always like 2 posts away from eachother. If i wanted actual relevant and useful opinions on music I'd message @Papa Andy

I read your review just after the pitchfork's one. It's leaps and bounds better than theirs because not only your analysis of Eminem's problems is more incisive but you also didn't include the final rating which is a great move to me - I truly think it's unnecessary for such reviews. Furthermore, in pitchfork's review the final rating doesn't correspond with the criticism at all. It's the highest one since The Eminem Show. It's ridiculous.

Wow that was probably my favorite review from you ever, and that's saying a lot. Loved how you wrapped everything up, and it flowed so nicely. This is some great writing. Shared on Twitter.

Exactly. He backed up his criticisms and also supported what he thought was good about the album. And what he thought was good about Revival, I thought the same.
