    A person who has interest or likes something, or somebody. Can refer to many things including sports, movie stars, food/drink and so on. Basically anybody that likes something.
    I am a big fan of basketball.

    I am the biggest Star Wars fan ever.

    But there’s a few regular posters in this forum who have been shi--ing on Em for years.

    Probably makes them feel good to distance themselves from Em fans as that’s in vogue at the moment. But surely they have better things to do...
