Trial by Fire is a better made album, with more consistency and more of an actual vibe.

There's also less lows or 'why!?' moments. Not many at all, just boring tracks to me.

But yeah, it is a boring album. I find most of Yela's flows very non-engaging on it. Really not a fan of that talk story telling he does. It just seems vague and like it goes on forever, and the flows are not interesting, it's just s--- like "and then bla bla moonshine and then the old man said to the wanderer bla bla alley way, far away, and then the little boy said to the man" it's like fuckkkkk, just get to a point.

Couple of standout tracks on TBF (Daylight 10/10 ; Son of a Gun, couple more) but mostly forgettable.

So I'd say TBF is a better album, technically, but the highs of Revival I'd still rather listen to than most of the TBF highs. Maybe with the exception of Daylight. I r---d the repeat button to death when that s--- dropped.

Both are disappointing, forgettable albums though. Was let down by both of them big time and never feel like listening to either.

Also both had the flaw of way too many features. Yela's were MUCHHHHHH better used, they were authentic and fit the tones of what he was doing. But it still f----- up the flow for me. I'm really against a lot of feature hooks, especially when you have such a talented hookmaker @ Yela, who can also sing.
