Black Ops <--- common answer due to the fact that MW2 was such a huge game and busted the player base so wide open and so all the casuals and girlfriends who didn't play MW, WaW, and MW2 bought this as their first CoD and look back on it like its vintage GOAT s---. It's not

It's in no way shape or form as good as the modern warfares graphics, features, maps etc

i remember being in the era of halo and gears of war and cod 4 and everything
me and my friends were in 8th grade and we were in his basement
someone looked up the new cod game on IGN and saw a rumor it was going to be world war 2 again
we were so excited because the past few years had been nothing but post apocalyptic or space scifi s---
when waw was announced world war 2 felt so refreshing

I've never met anyone IRL who I know for a fact was active on MW and MW2 say black ops was the best...it's a casual girlfriend game as number 1 pick ..

No offense to anyone who enjoys it, it was a fine enough game was really innovative with the features and game modes

i remember in mw2 or 3, whatever one had the weed emblem and tag, me and my friends would all be super obnoxious on mic with weed emblems and whenever someone said something to us i'd be like "I'll s--- your f---ing d-ck fa---- no h---" and someone always freaked out without exception

Like I may sound like a fanboy but I was big into the CoD s--- up until Ghosts...MW2 is by far the best of the series multiplayer wise. Infinity ward knocked that f---ing game out of the park...it took CoD4 which was a huge game and flipped it on its head, added the extended k--- steaks more guns and tons of new attachments, call signs emblems...the amount of s--- this game alone brought to the series is staggering

And the maps holy Jesus Christ objectively the best in the series

d--- that was a classic game, I've never seen a culture of people so obsessed with something up until Overwatch and the recent boom of competitive gaming obviously.

WW2, they got their a--- back in the FPS game now.
I was gonna say MW2 or Black ops, but I'm enjoying WW2 just as much as I was with those two. I love the MP & zombies in this one. Bought the season pass.

I will say there was a really good game somewhere in Mw3 but it was bloated and the maps were the WORST and most blocked off/claustrophobic in the series so that game was a lost cause sadly. Had the maps not s----d a--- it probably would be on black ops level

Black ops was great very innovative, but held back by how cheap it was overall. Like when the newness wore off it was glaringly obvious that game looks and feels older than MW2, it's sort of weird

Tbh MW2/Black Ops are a close tie.
If I wasn't for One Man Army & Commando MW2 would easily be my favorite.

MW2 definitely had its radical imperfections but the game just blew the door off the hinges with so many new aspects of the game and memorable guns maps and features
