This exactly. The whole argument of people against gun reform seems to be “they’ll get the guns illegally anyway”. The thing is, for the demographic of school shooters, which are the lonersome types (not even a stereotype) it is 100x more difficult to get a gun illegally than simply walking in a store and buying one or simply grabbing one from your dad’s closet

There is not a single shred of doubt that restricting the sales of semi automatic weapons will eventually see the reduction of mass shootings.


It’s just simple common sense and even those who deny it know it’s true. Almost all guns in school shootings were either easily bought at gun stores or online, or they were taken from the family home.

When’s the last time you heard of a school shooter buying a gun from a gun runner? Not even mentioning the ridiculous price hike that guns on the black market would incur if the legal ones got banned or restricted


Long story short, these things happen because of how easily available and attainable guns are. There is NO other solution other than to make these guns impossible or very difficult to purchase
