Mar 4, 2018 The hook is amazing. It's annoying how many relationship songs are on Revival but this song is probably Em and Pinks best collab. And something tells me that its basically 25 to Life pt 2 so it draws me to the song now
Mar 4, 2018 Need Me & Tragic Endings are probably my least played Eminem songs along with STIW Basically an Em feature on a Pink song which just isn’t right for an Eminem studio album
Mar 4, 2018 Not to mention, the verse is not even good, its so bland. Definitely feels like a call-in feature based on the quality of writing but like it is literally an album cut. f---ing surreal. I can at LEAST give STIW the credit of having a pretty nice verse sandwiched in between the crooning. I just love how toward the end of Pink's 2nd verse Em starts joining in the singing like they're trying to build you up. Expecting their listeners to go like "bruuuhhh em bout to come with that fiiiree" and then he's like "swimmin in that egyptian river, cuz im in denial" "using my heart for a dart board" auuuughhh k--- me
Mar 4, 2018 At least Em basically admitted in a post-Revival interview that Need Me & Tragic Endings were filler tracks lol And tbf I listened to MMLP2 the whole way through yesterday for the first time in a while and I f---ing love that album, STIW isn’t actually too bad with his verse at the end
Mar 4, 2018 Honestly it made me feel stuff even I could relate to. "You walked out, I almost died. It was almost a homicide" like, that's good writing. The hyperbole makes you understand the gravity of the feeling of loss. "I'm done being your punching bag" its kind of a cliche but the delivery is authentic. MMLP2 is a god d--- gem and I never understood why it wasn't as well received as I believe it should be. I guess because of the loose sequel theme, idk. Anyway the quality of writing across the board is so much better compared to most of Revival that I'm like over here coming up with conspiracy theories that he didn't write Revival at all lmao
Mar 4, 2018 For real, MMLP2 was such a journey listening through from Bad Guy to Evil Twin with pretty much everything inbetween. Not to mention how good the bonus disc is Also kinda wish I didn’t hear Rap God prior to it’s release because that first time listening experience would’ve been even more crazy with 6 minutes of that. Also appreciated how good the delivery is & how well-written the verses are on The Monster when I heard it again for the first time in a while
Mar 4, 2018 Hmmmmm weird I've only been saying this since it released. It's a classic song along with the whole album. Give it 3 years and this will be considered his best album.
Mar 5, 2018 I'm glad that I turned that s--- off the moment I heard the instrumental. s--- sounds like 2 trash cans being banged together.
Mar 5, 2018 L. Stop trolling. I like Revival but not in a single way it's a classic album. For an album to be a classic it has to get positive reactions and it has to stand the test of time and retain a larger chunk of that positivity. While this album is getting shat on since day 1.
Mar 6, 2018 MMLP2 has aged very well, better than Recovery. As far as Need Me, it was well executed, not a bad song but nothing extra ordinary
Mar 8, 2018 Been said this song was radio popcorn. I loved it off second listen. I don’t see the issue with it but I understand people having a issue with it.
