Revival a 3/10

facts;
-more consistently s-----y than encore
-relapse at least has some type of theme or direction
-revival is str8 poopoo


I mean all r s--- at this point so it's splitting hairs but let's go rev 3/10, encore 4/10 relapse 5/10

Revival has higher highs and I wouldnt even say lower lows than Encore

I think I still prefer it over Encore as the highs—Believe, Castle, Arose—are higher than those of Encore, and the lows aren’t as bad as My First Single, Big Weenie etc

Although i can’t really get any replay value out of it. I stopped listening to it by the end of 2017, bar a few songs

MMLP2 was a MUCH better project imo, and despite its lack of cohesiveness (maybe due to it) it gets overlooked as a solid body of work

Encore actually has more moderately listenable tracks this is not debateable

lmao Nowhere Fast is garbage.
Offended is terrible music, recycled filler
Castle/Arose is corny, insincere, and pointless/redundant at this point in his career
Untouchable is mediocre
Believe is average at best

the rest of the album is unlistenable

2/10 album. an embarrassment

@Big Dangerous : I know you probably gonna be like wtf, cause I hated this s--- from the start but I actually like it.

Encore is literally unlistenable, you can thank the middle part for that.

Revival has like 4 whack songs, other then that it’s a great album..

Some of the great tracks on Revival like Believe, Castle, Arose, Offended, Nowhere Fast are light years ahead of anything on good relapse & Encore.

Great story telling on castle, Believe is magnificent the hooks still amazing, Arose ties great in with Castle & a great way to end the album, Nowhere fast with Kehlani is a great track, the verses on offended are great. the hook is tolerable, you guys just like to hate on everything he does cause it’s pretty much a trend at this point, but if you thoroughly listen to the album, it’s not THAT bad, & I know that people say that the album is “scattered” has no real subject matter, but there is a song for everyone, from rock to trap beats, enjoy it hate it, it’s a great album. 7.5/10 for me.

Encore is still horrible, My first single etc pretty much u know, the bad about it, I don’t need to type it out for you.

Then again this is just my opinion

Encore is a hip hop album with an odd stretch of fart noise triumph the puppet dogg rain man a--- tracks

Even sadder is a lot of people (I mean it's still a mass public minority but speaking hardcore forum stans here) actually believe that too and love the record and praise it as some kind of dark slim shady masterpiece


I would love to hear eminems feelings in depth, I guarantee he realizes how much he f----- up and distorted his shady character and that's a big reason he hates the record so much-- but he can't explain that on a song cause a lot of people wouldn't understand

I could understand thinking Encore is worse, I get that. I could understand that perspective, but saying RELAPSE is worse than revival is just so wrong on so many levels. Trash Relaspe for its content but it’s the most coherent, genuine and inspired album Em has put out in over a decade

Revival is without question his worst album. Encore at least attempted to be a good album. Encore is almost on par with his first three classics, which is saying a lot. You don’t even have to add any music, you could just take out a few tracks and replace those with the bonus CD and encore is almost on par with The Eminem Show. Revival has maybe three songs worth keeping and has zero replayabillity. When’s the last time you listened to Like Home or Tragic Endings? Encore has 10 or more great tracks, Revival has Believe, Framed, Castle/Arose. And honestly, I adore Castle/Arose, they are a great closer and a tearjerker, but we’ve covered this already. We have Going Through Changes, Headlights, Bad Husband, Stronger Than I was, the list goes on. I also adore Framed, but what new are we getting here? The only fresh great quality track on here was Believe.
