Mar 13, 2018 Ouch. That was f---ing hilarious and spot on. Those gun charges of his is another reason I find his new persona bashing trump and his anti gun stance to be cringe. “Trump wouldn’t reply to me and my recent album bombed”
Mar 13, 2018 Ppl change, it's a part of growing up. Love the hate he has received for being controversial though. That's one thing that'll never change!
Mar 13, 2018 Yeah it’s kinda like making jokes about gays in his songs back in his prime and now in 2018 performing live with Elton John. Oh wait...
Mar 13, 2018 So who's bringin' the guns in this country? (Hm?) I couldn't sneak a plastic pellet gun through customs over in London And last week, I seen a Schwarzenegger movie Where he's shootin' all sorts of these MFers with a Uzi I see three little kids, up in the front row Screamin' "Go" with their 17-year-old uncle I'm like, "Guidance, ain't they got the same moms and dads Who got mad when I asked if they liked violence?
Mar 13, 2018 Back when Marshall getting candidly and socially conscious on wax actually felt genuinely sincere.
Mar 13, 2018 "So who's bringin' the guns in this country? I couldn't sneak a plastic pellet gun Through customs over in London And last week I seen this Schwarzenegger movie Where he's shootin' all sorts of these MFers with an Uzi" - Eminem, 2001... Questioning gun control and highlighting the hypocrisy of certain character-types and a society which actively condones violence. What is he being a hypocrite about?
Mar 13, 2018 i take 7 kids from columbine stand em all in line add an ak 47 a revolver a nine a mac 11 and that outta solve a problem of mine thats a whole school of bullies shot up all at one time
Mar 13, 2018 Yeah... that's words? That's fiction... If he actually DID do that and was saying what he says now - that would be something different. It's quite amazing that some critics and specifically it seems American media and critics seem to have difficulty differentiating between fiction and reality; Him writing about his frustration or fantasy and some cartoonish scene of him standing a line of bullies up and shooting them with an Uzi is just an expression of rage and the point of it is really just saying 'I hate bullies'. The mechanism of how you get to that point isn't relevant to real world actions, just like any director or any writer can make a point with... Words, concepts, visuals... Clearly and obviously - Eminem the human being, the person, wouldn't line up a bunch of people and s---t them with an Uzi lmao. That's ridiculous. So for people to suggest he is a pro gun person because of cartoonish, fictional lyricism / art vs. real life and real world situations now... That's just silly. The moments on MMLP where he was actually expressing his real opinions on s--- - like the Who Knew s--- I quoted... he's always been liberal, he's always been anti-establishment and he's always critcized negelectful parents and adults, people with dumb, violent views, hypocrisy of conservative America etc. - which is the exact thing that he's doing now. I swear some fans surprise me like... they never really got it, him, half his s---.
