Mar 17, 2018 Story: Relapse 2 was going to be the continuation of Relapse, and it was planned to be released some months after the release of the original Relapse album. As Eminem stated before, he recorded a lot of material, apparently enough for even a third Relapse album. Eminem decided to scrap Relapse 2 in favor of Recovery. He did not just "changed the name of the album" as many people believe. Relapse 2 was already finished, but Eminem didn't released it because of the negative reviews about the first Relapse album. That's when Eminem started recording music in a whole new concept and different direction, which led him to release Recovery. Relapse 2 Concept: As a fan of Eminem, I personally loved Relapse. And I would've loved Relapse 2. So in this fan-made album, I compiled songs from Relapse: Refill, some leaked songs, some Recovery songs with Relapse vibe and a couple of songs of other artists featuring Eminem with his "Relapse" accent, along with an intro and some skits to get an appropriate Relapse 2 album. Some of the songs and skits may not fit perfectly in this sequel. Mar 24, 2018 Ehhhh.... Wouldn't have been as good as the first Relapse. You know Relapse era had some good stuff. What changed? Eminem's persona. Before his hiatus, Eminem felt like he was a real person, though crazy. But with Relapse, it felt like he was just playing a character that he invented with a new accent. It just felt a bit off. You'd see him all calm in interviews. Then you'd listen to Relapse and he'd try to portray a different persona. It didn't really click the same way that his SSLP and MMLP angry persona clicked. You just got the sense that he was trying too hard to reinvent himself. But then again, nothing you can do.
