    I target practice for fun with a few buddies usually once a week or every 2 weeks. Sunday was nice out and I shot my friends .40 . He shoots competition and is real into it. I just do it for fun and to improve my range to be prepared for self defense.

    Take some actual classes. Big difference between target practice and shooting while actually being shot at. Just saying youre ready mentally doesnt mean you actually are

    Actually my friend who trains me is a legit professional who places in competition. I got a lot better learning from him. Obviously I could always use some more practice. He reloads bullets so we have thousands to play around with to get better. My AR and 9mm is locked in spot on. But the .40 I actually missed the target and need some practice. I was surprised how much the kick was compared to the 9
