    I think the simpsons has been mediocre/bad/just ok for so long now that people (younger people especially) kinda forget to give it the nod. But I've been slowly rewatching the classic seasons over the past year or so as well (I think I'm on season 5?) and there's so much I didn't get when I was a kid. It's like watching a new show.

    I feel like when you're a kid you appreciate the dumb humor in the simpsons, and then when you're a young adult you think you're too old for the dumb humor but aren't smart enough to catch the subtle humor. Then when you're an adult you get the subtle humor and realize you're not too good or too old for the dumb laughs either.

    Simpsons haven't been mentioned yet? I never really sat down and watched the classic seasons until a year or two ago and I was blown away. Some of the densest comedy writing ever.

    Others: Recess, Looney Tunes, Batman: TAS

    i havent watched tv in years but so many old cartoon network shows give me the greatest nostalgia, and theres actually a good handful of newer cartoons that capture that same magic (flapjack, adventure time, gumball)

    itd be so hard to pick a favorite but south park, futurama, and king of the hill definitely come to mind
