Apr 24, 2018 This was a veryyyy kind score. I'd put it somewhere closer to a 5 than a 7. 1st half is pretty forgettable but it picks up after Kevin's Heart. Window Pain is probably his best song ever.

Apr 24, 2018 im tired of hearing that everything is so surface level and f---ing bland - some of it definitely is, but you can't honestly listen to songs like kevin's heart (this one is definitely arguable), brackets, or 1985 and think that that's just surface level s---. i mean i get that there are plenty of valid criticisms involved with this album, rightfully so too... the hooks are pretty bad, there are some boring songs (imo, way more exciting than something by like Open Mike Eagle), but it really does seem like a trend to hate on him like this nowadays. why weren't we callin out kendrick for this surface level s--- on TPAB or even d---? i may be completely wrong or missing the point here, but it seems like this is the most common criticism of this album
Apr 24, 2018 I wasn't impressed with KOD on first listen, but a lot of tracks are growing on me and the videos have been fun. Cole albums always hover around 7 for me, except for Cole World which is bland as f---. Pitchfork sucks but occasionally have amusing write-ups. Eminem reviews are normally golden.
