Apr 25, 2018 Before I get into this, let me just say that early 2000s Em would basically be doing what Kanye is doing right now as far as Trump goes. He’d be that guy going against public opinion, standing out and having people hate on him like crazy and being the center of attention of it all. Now onto the topic, Trump has the mindset of a child and can’t take any criticism against him, he responds to basically ANYBODY who has a platform, disses him and creates a big enough buzz from it. Em had the platform and the buzz after his diss was certainly there, everyone was talking about it and curious to hear what Donald would say, surely he would tweet about it the next morning when he woke up. Well he didn’t, ever. Trump responding likely would have put a LOT more people on Em’s side, also would have probably made revival more interesting and more of a commercial success. No other celebrity who made such a stir dissing Donald got completely ignored the way Em did, then he releases a single talking bout how his music basically sucks and no one likes him. Did this ruin Eminem’s plan for revival? Ruin his mood? Obviously the album was a complete disaster, but also did this ruin Em’s credibility? He just seems like a joke now. It’s like he was ready for battle with Trump and then Trump told him to f--- off without saying a word. Regardless of your opinion the score board here is pretty clear: Donald: 1 Marshall: 0 I hate Trump by the way, but it is what it is.
Apr 25, 2018 Eminem never really went against public opinion in Presidential politics. When he got on the scene he made fun of the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal like everyone else was at the time. He didn't like Bush43... not very shocking stance. He didn't talk about Obama at all as far as I know.

Apr 25, 2018 Eminem was a 27 year old pretending to be a 23 year old... he had a plan to manufacture controversy with people older than him to win favor with people younger than him... it was deliberate and intentional and it worked. Kanye is easily influenced by people he perceives as being smarter than they actually are... then he goes all in.

If anything it looks bad on Trump that he’ll respond to petty s--- all the time from others but then avoids someone who comes at him full speed with the support to back him.
