Yea I don’t know s--- about politics so I try not to speak on it. BC just put it in perspective that Kanye doesn’t really know a d--- thing about politics based on completely shutting himself off from the outside world. He only likes Trump because he’s “unconventional,” and basically succeeded in doing what Kanye has been criticized for for years. He clearly doesn’t agree with Trumps politics because it’s clear he doesn’t even know them, but I think a lot of America now believes he does agree with Trump based on his public support. He should have just kept his mouth shut, but that’s obviously not who he isOrdinary Joel, Jay Zeus, Rodamon and 1 other person like this. -

like
"omg kanye so detachhed he didnt even know trump banned muslim countries!!!"
he probably doesn't know obama issued over 27,000 airstrikes over the middle east in 2016 either. Bet TI doesn't know that factoid either.Ordinary Joel, Caine and Rodamon like this. -

kanye deleted all his social media and apparently got rid of his phone awhile back and was holed up in wyoming which is about as far away from all major US cities as you can be. Plus when you're rich you have the ability to choose to ignore a lot of s---. I know people irl who know essentially nothing about politics who are also on social media daily...so I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility. Not that I'm saying this excuses him from all the dumb s--- he said.Ordinary Joel, Enigma and Lil Squeed like this. -

That bit isn’t comparing the two? It’s about kanye’s disconnect from society which is supported by the fact that he wholeheartedly supports trump but doesn’t know about one of his most talked about/fundamental policies. It’s also supported by other falsehoods Kanye has spewed recently such as, “Chicago is the murder capital of the world” (it’s not) or that “slavery was a choice.” It’s not surprising that a guy who’s seemingly struggled with being a celebrity (his feuds with other celebrities/paparazzi) & thus has closed himself off from even some of his closest friends (Jay-Z) doesn’t really grasp the consequences of his actions in the real world.
Nope. It’s talking specifically about Kanye West (and earlier in the piece Michael Jackson for comparison). It’s not talking about celebrities/rich people in general.Ordinary Joel, Jay Zeus and Lil Squeed like this. -

what makes T.I. any more "connected" to the regular world than Kanye?
Plus, this whole tweet is dumb af because, according to it, we shouldn't take advice from anybody successful because, once they become rich, they're magically disconnected?
I think I'll keep listening to famous people because they obviously know wtf is going on if they made itOrdinary Joel, KingZ and Michael Myers like this. -
