    i honestly wonder if old members that logs in every couple of week to check on their decade long net friends realize what will happen if S80 just vanish? if we go away...thats it...the people we knew for close to 20 years will come to an end

    do people realize this? its literally the only reason im keeping this alive and i feel so many people take this for granted

    are we really ready for the end guys? i have known f---ing @reservoirGod for literally 18 f---ing years jesus christ

    It's useless to mention me in this thread man he doesn't want my help and this has already been established about a hundred times now.

    I know everything he's doing wrong with the website and a few minor things that over the course of 6 months could change and have Section Eighty flourishing even without a solid re-brand, the website as a whole has massive appeal but the concept is at the very most unpromising, I'll post some of my recommendations here and we'll see how it plays out with people like @Koolo @Loyalty @Slyk

    1. You need to utilize the homages page authority, you're allowing the google crawlers to land but not giving them immediate access to any of the sub pages, I recommend extending the recommended posts on the sidebar, or including a way to display a broader range of posts from the music sxn within the homepage to increase crawler growth.

    2. Allow users to post Download links in a section which is not crawled by google spiders, which does not contain google adsense advertisements, and is only accessible by users who're logged in, this will increase Social Shares, and new registrations.

    3. Ensure that every page has a stable https included on the page, I have noticed a few pages where https is broken because of smiley's which are older I believe.

    4. Stop banning people as a whole, there's no need for it until the community grows again, we need the younger audience, we need opinions on upcoming artist to be flourishing, I understand you are an old head and can only ride the wave of a vanilla wafer or corn row kenny, but something has to change, and the youth is where the power is.

    5. Orient the site around "MUSIC" and not just the dying genre of music which is Hip-Hop, you're primary focus is on "Hip-Hop" music which is arguably a declining genre as a whole, you have more mainstream artist from the trap / hype scene surfacing now, and lyrical rap is at an all time low.

    This is just a few things I have in mind, take it or leave it, honestly it's not my problem to deal with.

    1. Glad to hear that you're working on a solution to that, I feel it will help the actual growth a bit as the site will be more involved in googles eyes. (You have the ranking, just not the push that's needed to power it)
    2. This is a tough one even for me as owning a website in the illegal downloading scene seems to be a new trend, and everyone and their mother is doing it.. it almost makes me wanna leave the illegal download niche as a whole, and I've slowly started to do so, so I understand completely where you're coming from.
    3. Appears that the https issue is solved now.

    1.) you're 100% right and this has been in the [delayed] functioning 3.0 redesign for a bit now
    2.) i'm so iffy on this strictly due to legal implications...i get that the internet's changed in the past 4-5 years, but studio leaks shut down as a consequence to this... i'm not about being legally threatened by anyone tbh
    3.) i hadn't noticed this -- i just found and corrected 3 of em that were likely triggering this

    He was easy to ignore when this place was more active but since the decline he was actively detrimental to what discussion there was. He'd respond to multi-paragraph posts within seconds and (obviously) without reading them, 75% of what he posted was gibberish, and he'd bump old threads with said gibberish.
