Jun 11, 2018 Probably Jay. He gets too much credit for pure mediocrity. Even in recent years with people just copying each other's opinions or what seems cool or 'correct' to say in hip-hop such as 'Kanye is a terrible rapper!' when in reality... Kanye has more quotables on Watch the Throne and nobody is like OMG JAY SMOKED KANYE. If Jay is such a GOAT and Kanye is sooo terrible, how come he doesn't sound bad next to him? And also has more memorable verses. Truth is Kanye isn't that bad of a rapper or writer, when he's on-form he's actually prettty good. He uses more multi's than Jay most of the time for god sake, an apparent goat who often now rhymes like a 4 year old. I think this is just laziness on Jay-Z's part though. Obviously when he tries or puts a lot of effort in to writing he's great; not saying he deserves no mention, but this thing about him being easily no.1 or even top 5 I think is a bit silly. I don't say people are GOATs from longevity, hits, the money they've made, their influence in the game etc. etc. GOAT to me is just greatest RAPPER of all time. And is Jay-Z the GREATEST - RAPPER - EVER?, or even top 5? In terms of rapping?? Not albums, not career... ? f--- no!

Jun 11, 2018 Well I would make the case that the eminem stans opinion on the goat status of eminem is absolutley nuts, most of them don't even acknowledge other rappers and act like he is the only rapper. So this is why I would say he is overrated, but it wouldn't be the case without eminem stans.
