Jul 13, 2018 I think there is a difference between liking an album and appreciating an album for the way its intended. Ofc a review with woow this baseline is dope as h--- and d--- that double entendre!! is not an actual review. Its just that no matter how deep you wanna dig into an artist or the context music is still music and knowing 1000 things about it doesn't change whether you like something or not. Again, it can help you understand the point of view and appreciate it. So if a critic tells me an album is good is not (at all) any indication whether I will actually like the music or not. For that reason I never rely on it, with any form of art by the way. That doesn't mean I don't think they're interesting to read though. Also I was just joking to andy lol
