But Scorpion is fire. Both parts. I come on here and see no one likes it... even the Drake stans. The whole album feels like Drake is trying to prove he deserves a place among the greats, making his case for why he deserves respect, and the project as a whole seems to make a great case for it. We get a rap side and a RNB side.. both which I can vibe to, which is rare, especially the RNB stuff.

Am I missing something? Why is it bad? More Life is bad. Why is Scorpion bad?

Does it have something to do with his son and Pusha?
Did that stain his legacy in your eyes for some reason, which then translates into enjoying the project?

The Drake fanbase confuses me.

I think as a hardcore Drake fan it makes sense to feel that way about Scorpion because it’s bland. But to me that’s Drake he’s always bland. More Life experimentation didn’t appeal to my ears because I’m not a fan of him. You want more.. d--- outta Drake. (Each of Kendrick’s projects have a unique sound) As a person that doesn’t like him, these songs are just typical stuff yes, but they click with me because they sound good. All those things you listed are literally every Drake song ever (break ups and social media) I’ve always liked Drakes rap rap and a lot of this project is him just dropping empty bars and it sounds good to my ears. I’m not looking for deep songs from Drake because to me, a lot of his music sounds the same. It’s the way he says it on this album.. it just sounds like a Senior project. Like he’s in his prime of creating musical hits. It may not be the “best” Drake or “prime” Drake but it’s him in a comfortable chair showcasing why he deserves a spot on a list. If that makes sense.

Good thread titles are composed of words whose main purpose is to attract attention and encourage posters to click on it. It's not clickbait unless the thread material inside is considered dubious or suspect. My opinion of Drakes music is neither of those things, but rather me attempting to comprehend my fellow posters opinions on the matter with a cleverly disguised thread. I may create another thread teaching this method of thread creation as it seems these fellow posters of mine are in need of direction. Translation: Lots of s--- threads I'm seeing, Koolo, lots.

Is there a correlation between me typically disliking Drake but enjoying his latest project?
The last Drake project I enjoyed this much was IYRTITL.

Overall as an artist, I don't like him.
