    Hopefully the Sway interview was recorded like right after Rap Devil dropped. Maybe it was since he said he was gonna wait and see what happened before making a move. Hard to believe he would say that by the time the song got 50+ million views.

    I think it was because it looked like the joe budden podcast didn't happen at the time they recorded the interview!

    He downplayed his role. It's not a complete lie, he just doesn't want to take as much blame as Joe is attributing to him. It's not so much what I said as what Joe said on his podcast last week. And yes, look at the credits, Em's hand is in a majority of the songs. Joe said that the tracks were sent somewhere and returned back to the group. I do blame the group for even signing to Shady in the first place though.

    I'm talking about Slaughterhouse not Yelawolf. I'm more familiar with their Shady work than Yela's. Slaughterhouse's relationship to Em is much different than Yela's. For starters, Royce and Em have known each other for years and Royce was keen on reconciling with Em after years of beef. Royce would be more inclined to bring Em in on the project as much as possible. Maybe Royce is to blame here too?...

    Reception doesn't just mean critical reception. Sales wise, the album was also poorly received, which is the metric you seem to care about. Critical reception does mean something when most people, whether fans or critics, are panning the album. It usually means that a diverse group of people think that the album is trash.
