i don't know if it can reassure you, but I think it's very sane that you wonder what your purpose is. like cuntry said it's easy to fall into existential crises, but that doesn't mean the question is wrong/dumb or whatever. I'll try an awkward piece of advice: try to wonder what world you wish you lived in, and what's the best way you can help to bring the world closer to that ideal

not sure what it's like where you're at but you can get therapy on the NHS here. You might be against it but it can genuinely help if you find the right person. It was mandatory when I was younger and I always hated it. Really helped me out as an adult though. I wouldn't consider myself depressed anymore but still have good and bad days as most do. I've never taken meds but obviously you can look at those being prescribed if you get diagnosed with something. Not sure how old you are but from memory you're in about late teens. It's very common for people to have a s-----y phase at that age. That's not to write off your problems or struggle but it's true. You're basically just realising how f----- up/weird the world can be (can be awesome too tho).

Have you ever tried a journal? Can help. Motivational videos. Really depends on mood tho... when you're rock bottom you can't be f----- with motivational videos lol. Different things work for different people and it all depends on where you're at mentally. You just need to find what takes you forward. Even if it's a small step at first.

But for sure find something to occupy your mind as Ama said. You'll just feed into negative cycles of thought otherwise.

Another thing that I've learned recently and never understood before is gratitude. It's easier said than done and I never really understood why it was important before.... But a few months ago I was in a park... Feeling pretty s---. Then I just looked around... saw the sun out... blue sky... trees... nature... birds... And just thought "f---... that's really cool.... why am i even sad". lol. Living in the moment is another thing that helps... hard af to master tho

You'll be good bro. You seem like a real nice guy. The world needs people like you. It might take time but you'll figure it out. I have faith in you. And as much as you maybe dislike yourself... I know you have faith in yourself somewhere too.

the meaning of life is the meaning you make within it :kdotbless:

I'm probably better at giving this advice than actually following it, but it's a process. It's easy to fall into existential crises. The meaning my life has now is different from the meaning I had two years ago which was different from two years before that. It's not that those meanings were "wrong," they were simply part of the process of finding my calling and what I want to make of my time on this earth.

You are here to make people’s lives more enjoyable and entertaining, that’s your purpose, without you the people in your life like family will be dull, your sense of humor is unique & intelligence will go far in life, and not to mention Pizza Hut is the bomb.

    Amarett Inside You

    Sep 21, 2018

Whether it’s people or circumstance it’s imperative you find an outlet. In the past I came to realize the unhappier and/or begrudged I became the harder it was to change that viewpoint. Seek out things/activities you enjoy doing or have been wanting to try. Don’t limit yourself. Use your imagination. At one time I was hesitant in getting involved with groups. However, being around new personalities opened up many opportunities in my personal life as well as my career. Basically, getting out there takes the stress off overthinking negative s---.

Far as your purpose I wouldn’t know. If you’re feeling stagnant don’t let this deter matters. The more you dwell on what is not happening the crappier you’ll be. Don’t waste time on that s--- .. you’ll never get it back.
