Feb 11, 2019 My favorite Kanye album of all time. Honestly, it feels like it’s been longer than 15 years. Copped it that Tuesday at Best Buy. The liner notes were dope too.
Feb 11, 2019 At work just fiend'n to recreate more personally nostalgic vibes. Fml. 2 more hours in this dump.
Feb 11, 2019 Haven't actually ranked his albums in a while... MBDTF College Dropout Late Registration 808s TLOP Graduation Yeesuz Ye
Feb 11, 2019 But yeah, back on topic. In some ways this album feels like it came out longer than 15 years ago and in other ways I can't believe it's been that long. But that's really hard to explain! I read an article about this album today that implied it was never meant to be a solo album. Rocafella were running with the idea that it was going to be a label compilation album produced by Kanye until they heard songs such as Through the Wire and Jesus Walks.
Feb 11, 2019 And also didn't know that Hey Mama was meant to be on CD but they saved it for LR because he "wasn't big enough' to have 2 songs of such personal magnetude (Jesus Walks and Hey Mama).
Mar 1, 2019 Good album but not a classic. Too much filler. If the album was like this then it would be a classic. 1. All falls down 2. I'll fly away 3. Spaceships 4. Jesus walks 5. Never let me down 6. Get em high 7. Slow jamz 8. Two words 9. Through the wire 10. Last call I'd say Grind Date and Madvillainy were the 2 best albums of 2004.
