    If anybody were the godfather of trap, it'll be UGK or Master P.

    As of right now, there isn't a trap king right now. Trap's been so eviscerated that it doesn't even know what it is anymore. Until Jeezy drops, there won't be a king as close to Clifford "the Big Red Dog" Harris.

    wait didn't read the title properly lol. In terms of current king, I honestly couldn't say. Its hard to say what trap is anymore, technically almost everything is trap now. if we're talking about the classic definition - ATL/trap house type s--- then its probably Future, with 21 Savage very close behind. I guess Offset could be a contender as well.

    I definitely don't think Travis Scott falls into the classic definition but if we're expanding it that broadly then yeah I guess he'd be up near the top too, off popularity alone. Thats a stretch though.

    TIP may have coined the phrase (I don't think thats 100% true actually but I'd give him the benefit of the doubt), but Gucci is the undisputed godfather. He took to another level
