I've heard the name but never heard Saint Jhn's music. The comparison is ultimately unfair either because Capital Punishment is one of the greatest rap debuts of all time or because Pun had a very short career.

@JebuSsweatshirt @Sav Stanfield collection one was pretty d--- good! Very diverse too , pleasantly surprised!

But yeah its not weird to not have heard from this guy not everybody has the time to check out 20 new artist every week lol and personally I also like to revisit albums I like most of the time.

Ghetto Lenny's Love Songs was an arguable top 10 project last year my dude. I don't keep a lot of entire albums in rotation but that was one of them (minus two or three songs).

man bit off topic, but i swear if rap was popularized in Australia instead of america these artist names would be s--- like "Big Cun' " and "saint johhno". sometimes I wish i was an ultra-gigga-n----- gangsta just so I could start a rap career with the name 50 bucks

Well yeah in America these artist are more known I guess. I swear nobody in my country has ever heard of this guy (and like 70% of the rappers we discuss on here for that matter lol) let alone it being even on a list. We have a top 2000 list every year and the only rap songs are like 5 em songs, california love, numb encore, empire state of mind, nigg*s in paris and a few others so u get what I mean lmao.

I never actively look for new artist, I just check for new songs mostly by artist I know and like. People like you, @Sav Stanfield etc are my go to guys when it comes to getting to new artist (and u guys are great for that!). But its just w so many I mostly listen to a song someone suggest, and sometimes liking it, but forget about it soon after because there are already new threads w new artist made you know? I also can't listen to music as much as I used to w work etc so thats to blame as well.

I did a quick check @Lil Squeed comparing top 40 lists (current)

U guys have roddy ricch, juice wrld, nba youngboy, future, dababy, lil baby, thugger, gunna, travis scot, lil nas x, lil tecca, wale.. all have a song in the top 40 and a few are represented more than once.

We....... have Post Malone. That's literally it rn lmfao. And yeah thug was in there a while back because he was featured on that Post song. And ofc we have rap songs sometimes but thats mostly em, drake and other huge names, or when one is featured on a pop song (and some s-----y dutch rappers).

But what I'm saying is that those guys get way more exposure to casual music listeners in US so it actually is more weird if u never heard of them if u live there. Over here nobody knows any of them except for people that specifically look for it (like me to an extent).
