Mar 26, 2020 Recovery was the 2nd phase of his biggest super stardom, him being the biggest artist, him at the heights commercially musically and as a brand. First phase being from 1999 to 2004 with The SSLP, The MMLP,, TES, Encore
Mar 26, 2020 I agree. Recovery is his best post hiatus album. He is just too old now although MTBMB was ok & an improvemnet on previous albums it lacked anything special.
Mar 26, 2020 People s--- on his career back then, and even Eminem says he was just getting his feet wet, but lest we forget amazing tracks like "Despicable", "Ridaz", "The Warning", were released around that time period. "Despicable" remains his best pre-album freestyle YET. His s--- now is imitating those King of the Dot guys. Just listen to his "Caterpillar" verse, he even says it there: "Spit like it's King of the Dot" Kamikaze still his best album post-comeback.
Mar 26, 2020 Yeah yeah.. Even though the numbers aren't there anymore to show for it. Em after 2017 is the best 02-03 Em. Recovery era was nothing special when it was happenin'. I hated the whole album at first. Only album that I fell in love immediately after the first listen by Em since TES, was Kamikaze album and MTBMB was even better.
Mar 26, 2020 Def a dated album and maybe not especially good but I’d Be lying if I didn’t f--- w it at the time lol. It had been an eternity since he’d been relevant - over half a decade - and it was fun seeing him dominate the pop landscape again. Relapse has more artistic integrity ofc
Mar 26, 2020 Maybe that’s why I consider this his worst album, but I never listened to it until 2011. I hated Arch Doggs favorite club song Love The Way You Liewhenrver I heard it on the radio and was definitely not ready to listen to Eminem again after relapse. To me, it’s mostly emotionless, it doesn’t sound like Eminem at all, and it feels so generic it could have been made by Great Value. I guess nostalgia is why a lot of em fans love recovery
Mar 26, 2020 Why tf yall even care about stardom lmao His second prime started since chlora rmx and that is enough to make me happy.
Mar 26, 2020 this man was the biggest thing in 2010. He was on the top of everything. I think his problem was that he didnt put out an album right after recovery. But still, even in 2013 he was very huge. I guess Only JT beat him in 2013 and it was JT's "comeback" album
Mar 26, 2020 Image streaming would be counted in 2010. But wasnt he somehow even bigger in 2013? I remember that MMLP2 sold more than recovery in the first week
Mar 26, 2020 Post hiatus rankings. Airplanes 2 still absolutely smashes anything from that piece of s--- he released a few months back. Recovery Relapse Kamikaze Revival Bad Meets Evil Murder Music
Mar 26, 2020 That verse is definitely one of the top five greatest things he's done post-hiatus for me. And you know that whole B.O.B. record was a pretty fun pop rap album.
