    I like it a little more than I initially did when it dropped but it's still very clearly his second worst album at best lol. I appreciate that it's a return to Kanye having an actual sonic/thematic direction, but most of the songs aren't good enough for me to care.

    I like Use This Gospel and Follow God. But I can't believe how bad he f----- up Selah and Everything We Need after hearing the Yandhi versions (Chakras and The Storm). Water is such a waste of production too.

    overhated album, like ppl arent satisfied unless he gives us a mbdtf EVERY time? was a great display of his current mental state and a look into how he was thinking

    as much as he wants to think he can pull off a 7 track album tho, he cant

    I don’t think he has to drop an MBDTF every time, but I definitely think he should put the same level of effort in every time. He threw ye together in like two weeks and it shows

    Yeah I think ye is 3 stars out of 5. Not bad, but average. Kanye's only album that isn't arguably a classic.

    No, it’s 5/10 at best. And that’s coming from a stan who is partial. A) the only songs worth listening to are Selah, On God, Follow God, and Use This Gospel. All of which, are lesser than what they could’ve been had he put any real thought into the final version opposed to scrapping better versions for this bs religious stuff. B ) hearing the demos for Yandhi really hurt this album because there was a great framework for a return to form in those

    Yea I feel the same. I f--- with that whole album except for Wouldn’t Leave and Violent Crimes. Ghost Town is top 20 Kanye.

    It’s still his second worst album lmao and not that great. But I was just talking about how people write it off as worse than JIK. Only songs I go out of the way to play are Yikes and Ghost Town, and I’ll let the intro and No Mistake play if they come on shuffle. Album is clearly below his first 7 projects, but not totally forgettable.

    edit: I shouldn’t word it as “not totally forgettable” because that’s exactly what’s wrong with it. I should have said not offensively bad. Like, it’s just whatever, which to that point was not something any Kanye album ever was.
