    thanks for the Info

good point....I don’t really follow this guy nor the case...but the main connection with tekashi is that he is a snitch from media headlines lol when if you see the case details you would probably do the same if you were in his shoes...

he definitely needs to explain that over and over again so that people don’t have the wrong narrative...like myself I just thought he wanted to be cool and be a gangster and then when s--- hit the fan he turned his back on his homies from his childhood..,when this case is entirely different

meek mill would snitch in a heartbeat if he was in the same scenario so he needs to be quiet lol

man this MFer instead of coming back with a new attitude and sound, comes and does the same bs all over again

I dont even blame him for snitching but man just drop the whole fake persona at least. Guy deserves to get shot now yes.

I do find 6ix9ine's antics to be entertaining, don't get me wrong. Yeah, he has some more melodic songs, but on those he's often mimicking the featured artists to the point where he sounds almost identical. I thought it was Lil Baby doing the chorus the first time I heard TICTOC lol.

I don't think it's ridiculous to want an artist to progress. But I'm not one of those people who gives a f--- that he snitched. If I was facing decades on RICO charges on crimes I wasn't even really involved in h--- yeah I'd snitch and 95% of you would too.

Gunna and Baby I'll give you to an extent, but I think they have more range than you think and are only getting better. Migos I also think you don't give enough credit as I've said before. My only complaint about Migos is that in terms of song structure they should switch it up from:
    1. Quavo verse
    2. Quavo hook
    3. Offset verse
    4. Quavo hook
    5. Takeoff verse
    6. Quavo hook

Cuz they do that too often. It doesn't make or break songs for the most part, but a lot of times their most interesting songs are when they switch it up.

    Anyway:

I'd definitely like to see him progress, also, but I guess my expectation for that was low to begin with so I'm not shocked.

Hopefully he'll get the hint to switch it up when the time comes and handle it better than Lil Pump currently is lol

But we don't go around pretending to be gangsta as f---... He does. He needs to own it, he had the chance to do so, then he snitched.

    @Donkey Kong Cuntry

First off, stir fry, g--- g--- are both top 3 migos songs for me!

The reason I dislike them , and same kinda goes for gunna and baby is that they all sound so bored. Just autopilot. And like u said after a while every migos song starts to sound the same. You know my shittalking is mostly meant as a joke, but they are just incredibly boring to me.

Say what you want about lil pump (I know u like him but lots of people don't) at least he sounds excited and full of energy. And he stepped up production wise.

The main reason I like those 2 migos songs is because of the production.

Ironically my complaints are getting just as repetive as my opinion on the production type, but its that same drum pattern they keep repeating and just adding some other instruments. The songs u listed above kinda show what I mean. I definitely enjoy that kind of music, but full albums of them.... that new nav album is a good example; not only does 80% sound the exact same to me, it also sounds the exact same as like 60% of the beats used by thug, future, gunna, baby and rappers trying to copy them.

And this isnt just a complaint w modern music, lots of old school stuff sounds the same as well. Thats why I like when rappers have like 10 different producers for their albums (like lots of my fav artist do).

Hndrxx and btg (to stick w thug and fewtch) are examples of what I mean w unique new sounds.

I hope u kinda know what I mean. Sold out dates is dope tho, not denying that, but 10 songs like that on an album.. pass.

Who cares though? It's an entertainment persona that he got too deep in. I never believed this dude was actually hard personally.

50 rapped about "stay[ing] high all the time (I smoke that good s---)" and popping x and dude doesn't even drink. In Prodigy's memoir he talks about his time at G-Unit and how at parties and events 50 would sip on a glass of champagne for an hour and only drink half of it.

UGK talks about selling mass quantities of blow all the time and in reality they just flipped some packs for six months to fund the beginning of their music career.

The vast majority of rappers who talk about murdering people have probably never murdered someone lol

For the most part, it doesn't make the music any less compelling to me if the rapper is acting as a character or exaggerating. I don't find most of 6ix9ine's music that compelling but it has nothing to do with whether or not he was actually treyway or whatever.

One thing I do agree with you w/r/t trap is that the drum patterns are getting stale. I do wish producers would spend a little more time switching those up more, esp because trap drums are one of the genre's defining characteristics.

Since you're more of a playlist guy it makes sense that you like albums with a bunch of different producers. For me I like it when someone like Kanye, Rick Rubin, Neptunes, Metro, Q-Tip, etc are at the helm to help give the album a more holistic sound.

Haven't listened to the new Nav album but he's a pretty one note rapper. I do enjoy him as a feature on some songs like Baguettes in the Face though.

    This is kinda what I mean, take future's album the wzrd. As a playlist guy I can definitely appreciate most of these songs but if u just listen to the first 3 songs;

All 3 are nice but dont u agree they sound really d--- similar production wise? I do tbh. Compare this to

    Dark Fantasy
    Gorgeous
    All of the lights (?)

Ofc not trying to compare those 2 albums just the way that the 3 songs I listed share almost no similarity. So it really feels like 3 new and unique songs.

    Bad Guy
    Rhyme or reason
    So much better

An album not as good but still, every song has a completely unique sound regardless of how u feel about it. When I listen to a new future or thug album especially thug is creative enough w his flows and voice but if I keep hearing the same patterns I kinda get bored quickly. Thats when I like it when he does stuff like For Yall, Take Care, She Wanna Party. Again I dont mind him using it, that leak Die Young is nice as f---, but not for 15 songs in a row pls lol

That is the main complaint I got w some artist today. And it doesn't help that most new artist try to ride the same wave instead of trying a new sound.

I think I must be getting too old. To me it just seems what hes doing requires no talent, is extremely basic, and is not pleasant on the ears at all.

I think I’m just old ....I don’t get this s---. I don’t get the music and I don’t get the snitching. He basically admits to being fake. He ‘joined’ the g--- for street cred and people are cool with this? Doing business with hardcore g--- members and then being surprised when s--- happens is like being surprised when a lion attacks a lion tamer.

And even if he ends up beeing the best selling rap artist ever, he's trash nevertheless. Awful voice, lyrics and flow.
