I wish he did something like Stereo again. That was my favourite project by dude ...but LoveStory and GhettoCowboy were really good. I thought TM3 was good but a bit of a letdown.

The last time he worked on two albums at the same time, he put out two mediocre albums (TM3 and Ghetto Cowboy). He should focus all his energy into creating one great album like he did with Love Story or TBF.

Yela's not been as promising as he started out.

I've followed him still, but when he first came out he had some 'spark' where it's like 'ooh this guy is going to be interesting'. I think maybe it's because tonally he sounds the same, even though he's done many different flows and musical styles, he still comes across in an unsurprising way and it's kinda non-stop raps about moonshine.

Love Story was good, Trial By Fire was absolute snooze (except a few, like the absolute classic "Daylight"), Trunk Muzik III kinda fun, Ghetto Cowboy very solid - but I never go back and listen to any of them, beyond the initial release period where I might live with the album for a month or something.

Love Story was the exception, but his music doesn't have staying power to me.

Anyway, Mudmouth is a fire name, still check it.

Yela can make it back to love story days. Mudmouth is a killer name.

How about Trunk Musik the first one? That's probably his best album along with Love Story.

Tbh I have been pretty impressed with his work. Ghetto Cowboy while not as good as Love Story was very solid. He also dropped several solid mixtapes such as Trunk Musik Returns and Blackfall with DJ Paul.

I'm not a big fan of his punk/rock stuff but overall even his weaker albums such as Radioactive and TM3 have songs that I really like.

Trial by Fire is really the only album I had no interest in whatsoever. Just didn't like it.

Yela can be hit or miss, but he's easily the most talented artist to ever come out of Shady Records. He kind of has his own thing going on and doesn't rely on Eminem.

Yeah TM1 was fun, is the first thing I heard and I was excited.

I think his best musically is Arena Rap. Love Story is really a full length and more fleshed-out version of it, but Arena Rap is still better. Just the way the choruses and production and those songs are... still the best he's done.

Shady Records was probably not the best idea for someone like Yelawolf.

I remember after the disappointing sales of his debut album Radioactive, Yela mentionned not getting enough creative freedom. The album was not like he intended it to be. Things had to be supervised and switched up in order to sound more mainstream. Interscope had to put their stamp of approval on it and Eminem pretty much does what Interscope tells him to do.

With Love Story they gave him the creative freedom to do what he wanted and look how great it turned out.

With that being said, looking forward to see those projects.

Interesting, I don't think I've ever heard Arena Rap. Will get on this asap.

Oh man you need to check it out. It's greatness.

One of the best songs from it:

s--- is unique. I like Love Story but wish it had this energy.

The best fusion of country / rap I've ever heard too. Not that I've heard much lol, I'm not into country or country-rap, but this just sounds like a complete fusion of worlds and musically authentic. Love Story does too but it's not quite as much, or as enjoyable.

Shieeet I was definitely not expecting that kind of sound. It sounds like something you'd hear at a country festival or some s--- lol

Not sure i'm going to like it if it leans too much on the country side but i'll give it a spin.

Edit* listened to the EP and it's actually really good.
