    Extremely good read so far. He'd been sitting on a lot of these songs for awhile. It sounds like the plan was to release a bunch of drill tapes and then transition to a more mainstream effort for his studio to make him a true star:

    it's kinda funny that a good chunk of the things people were complaining about on this album were planned. Like this was supposed to be a more commercial effort and it sounds like the vast majority of the features were recorded before he died or were people he explicitly stated he wanted to work with.

    Really good article. I’m not the biggest Pop Smoke fan but it seems like this album is a proper send off and I’m glad to see a lot of thought went into how it was crafted.
