    Lol so until this year I never knew I had allergies. I always thought it was normal to get sniffly walking around outside in the spring and summer and just thought it was a part of life. Literally blew my mind when I realized that it was allergies. I made it to 21 not knowing that’s what was always bothering me.

    Anybody else have any experiences like this?

    are potato waffles any good? Never had them.
    But I love potato pancakes (shoutout to my polish brethren @Rick James and @Guma my Babcia used to make the best Placki.)

    When I was like 5 or 6 years old at a holiday party, I was offered a piece of cheese cake. I had no idea what cheesecake was and I said no. I wasn’t really feeling that great, my stomach was messed up, but someone insisted I try it. So I took a bite, hated it, and went to bed shortly after. I woke up early the next day and instantly threw up. I threw up all day. Any time I saw cheesecake for the next 20 years I instantly felt sick to my stomach. I avoided that s--- like the plague.

    Then one day a few years ago, I mistakenly took a bite of cheesecake and was blown away at how delicious it was. For 20 years I had no idea how f---ing amazing cheesecake tasted smh. Now I eat that s--- every chance I get.

    Nothing life changing but finding out the Medici family was black, and just getting a better contextual idea over medival European history is pretty illuminating. Makes me look at history a lot differently. The idea of the “average European” a millennia ago is almost as diverse as the “average American” now.
