But the whistle was blown and that makes the play dead....I don't really see the argument. And I'll admit that if that was the pens in that situation I still wouldn't have been mad or saying it should have been a goal, since the play was blowed dead.

Preds had 4 power plays now to score and you're saying that one no goal could result in them losing lol come on man. You know d--- well in hockey you should score at least once with 4 powerplays.

Not sure how it's possible to not see the argument...whistle is supposed to be blown in that case when the puck is covered, puck was clearly not covered..There's the 'argument.'

Congrats on the cup though.

Disappointing way to finish for someone like me who didn't have a horse in the race but oh well, playoffs overall were great.

Back to back!!!!! Me and another guy here at the house both said Malkin should have earned MVP rather than Crosby. Most points, most assists, most penalty minutes.its whatever though happy for them all. I could see this team going to multiple cups in the next few years.

You realize if you were as good of a finals team as the pens you should have scored at least one goal when you had 4 power plays and one 3 on 5. The referee thought the puck was covered and has to make the call. It's easy to use your argument once you see the replay but being a referee you have to call what you see within a split second. If you're disappointed after this game, you clearly hate the pens lol.

Could have waited that same split second to make sure it was covered, or he could have moved.

No I don't hate the pens, just hate an ending like that deciding the stanley cup.

I sort of wished pens had a better team to play in the cup. They pretty much killed the Preds. I was expecting the Preds to give a better challenge but they are an inexperienced playoff team who were never to the cup. My favorite part of the series was Crosby banging subans head into the ice. Realistically, Crosby never even lost a fight. He's a lot stronger and bigger than people think.

I'm sorry kon but if they can't score one goal during a must win game they choked and s---. Especially with 4 power plays. Remember when you guys were making fun of the pens only having like 8 shots on goal during a game that they still won lol yeah you guys are reaching at any opportunity to hate on the pens. Another gifted cup to the most overrated player in hockey history. Only fitting they won it on the backs of calls from the refs. Glad I was watching the mariners instead of that trash.

I mean you can't really argue against his points per game... never bought into the Crosby vs Ovechkin debate on that alone. Ovi just barely beat Crosby on the race to 1000 with him missing almost two seasons worth of games or something

I don't think he's the most overrated ever that was just hyperbole for the sake of it. But people tryin to bring him up as a top 10 player,...no

and for me goals per game matters much more.

what's your reasoning behind this?
he's been very consistent throughout his career and has hoisted the cup 3 times, something his team would not have done once if he wasn't a member of the team.

you're right he's not top 10 players he's top 5 and there is no doubt about that

actually nvm clearly you're not gonna talk realistic here

pens battled through columbus, washington, ottawa, then nashville

we played the most games and had he 4th most power plays and had the most penalties called against us

also had 4 goals overturned by review and 3 by coaches challenge (both the most)

so typical of pens haters to blame refs when in reality you just happened to catch the game 6 highlights

Cup wins also don't matter to me that much in determining the best of the best because one player does not make a Stanley cup team. That was clear this year and the fact that Malkin got robbed says something to the narratives the NHL tries to create. Syd is obviously in the top 10 forwards of all time it would be stupid not to include him but my top ten would be something like this;

It's not about the amount of something it's about time timing when it happens. Yeah the pens took penalties when they were up 6-1 big whoop. It's undeniable that goals turned over were of a much larger impact to the predators don't deny this just cuz u got them blinders on

one game 6 is a s-----y way to end the series but pens played through a stupid amount of injuries and without their best defender, and undoubtedly the hardest path to the finals, i just don't get how people can say refs hand them the cup

and also about crosby, goals per game matter more? he lead the league this year, and in the playoffs he fed guentzel relentlessly, he just makes the whole team differently, set the entire tone game 5, i couldn't see the pens winning a cup without him
