Jul 30, 2020 Do they exist? I don't remember seeing any harsh opinions on this album which is surprising for Em. Anyways I just listened to it for the first time yesterday after multiple attempts through out these months where I just stopped listening 30 seconds into the Young M. A's "verse" I don't know what to think of this album. I thought Em was redeeming with kamikaze after the failure of Revival but no he just went back and actually worse. Back to the static choppy delivery. He was just rambling and rambling with actually saying very little. Production was cheap af but it was mostly hiphop esque this time unlike revival. Makes me hurt seeing rappers who are not even worth 100k having a top notch production quality on their mixtapes while one of the biggest rapper showing no interest in production quality. Mixing was terrible. Some songs were actually very hard on the ear. For God's sake please someone tell him start layering his voice again like he did in recovery days. Don't know if it's the redbull addiction or not but Em's rapping voice became very dry and sonically unpleasing to listen to. It's his main problem nowadays. Overall the album was a chore to listen. Would never try again. Even with Revival I had few songs in my rotation. The song I was most hyped for ended being the absolute s----s how.
Jul 30, 2020 I found the CD the other day and the interchangeable cover was dope. Can we at least agree on this?
Jul 30, 2020 What the f--- are you talking about? He sounds YOUNG as f--- on this. f--- Recovery Era voice!
Jul 30, 2020 i don't hate MTBMB... but its a bit mid to me. i don't hate it i don't love it but i think it's a solid project. You Gon Learn and I Will >>>>>
Jul 30, 2020 That's a lot of text for not knowing what to think. I stopped reading around the 30th sentence of your "post".
Jul 30, 2020 The only line I constantly refer back to is 'this album is for the sharpest knives in the draw'
Jul 30, 2020 I didn't said anything about him sounding young or old. His voice just became so grating without the vocal layering like he used to.
Jul 30, 2020 I can agree on TKN & first verse of Marsh. But it’s the delivery he’s choosing. Em focuses too much on the technical aspect.
