Aug 13, 2020 Didn’t see this posted yet. I’m with it. Lost Tapes was mid for me. I read there is a single coming tonight as well.
Aug 13, 2020 He better come correct. He sounded like he got gassed out on third round, carried to the 5th and decided to record an album after. Uninspired af. It’s like he tried to impress Kanye with his conservative views. This n----- forgets he’s from queensbridge and he’s talking about anti-vaccination and Fox News lol. The f--- you talking about. Don’t preach to me on some hog wash
Aug 13, 2020 Been saying for awhile now if I hear one more line out this dudes mouth about vaccines I’m out lmao.
Aug 13, 2020 Remember when he reminded us that the dude that made Fox News was black? And that dope spoken word cop poem/song lmfaooo I heard nas on some s--- recently. Don’t remember but it was apparent he’s washed
Aug 13, 2020 I mean, there's a certain anti-vax stance amongst most of the old-school rap isn't there due to distrust of the medical field/gov and their treatment of black people? Nas, Freddie and Royce to name a few have all made mention of it in some of their recent work. Not that I agree with it coz anti-vax is outright dangerous to play with, but I think it's a view Nas has had for a while now. Even on Stillmatic with What Goes Around
Aug 13, 2020 At least Freddie makes it sonically pleasing, but that’s a very good point! I just feel like nas was never so inarticulate about it which makes it so off-putting
Aug 13, 2020 If Jay can drop two mid - bad projects in a row and then come out with 4:44 I got some faith that Nas can do the same, although realistically I don’t think he will
Aug 14, 2020 Will definitely listen to the full project with caution. Liking the sound of the single tbh, lyrically not that impressive though.
Aug 14, 2020 I don't really like most the new s--- Nas drops, the last song I remember I really f----- with heavy was that Khaled song Nas album done... I don't even remember any of the songs off the good music album, nor what it's even called lol
Aug 14, 2020 idk if i agree. i like this way way more than the kanye tracks. its pretty tight and polished. feels like nas but w a crisper production. good space for him 27 years into his career
Aug 14, 2020 I only listened to a little bit bc I’m at work. while I agree that it’s definitely better than the Kanye produced stuff, I just feel like his delivery is off. I find Nas to be precise with his music. I feel like he’s not as tight as he was let’s say on Life is Good. but I shall give this a proper spin today with headphones!
Aug 14, 2020 Looking forward to it. I feel Nasir wasn't a bad as people made it out to be. As a matter of fact, the biggest issue I had with the album was the mixing from Kanye which was subpar for his standards and made many of the tracks feel out of place. I'm also interested to see who's being featured on the album since Nas and Lupe are my two favorite rap lyricists and they've been in the studio together in photos.
