    What are your thoughts on this amazing series? Now that we got a new "batman" game coming out made by the same developers that made arkham origins, thought we should revisit the classics. Just finished arkham asylum (forgot how good this was, my 2nd fav out of the 4) and started arkham city.

    How do you rank the 4? Do you think origins and knight are overhated? Are you excited for the new game?

    I do think Origins got a little too much hate, although it’s criticisms are understandably valid. Mechanics issues aside, it was very nostalgic to play and reminded me a lot of Vengeance/Rise of Sin Tzu, have a strange soft spot even if Asylum & City are definitely the better games.

    Gotham Knights gonna be brazy, who are you guys going to be playing as?

    Arkham city is one of my favorite video games, it has such a great setting and story. Also a lot of non repetetive side stuff to do, all those villains, riddlers enigmas, many secrets and fun stuff to discover ( Scarecrows boat which foreshadows Arkham Knight for example). A truly great game. Arkham Asylum is my second favorite game off the series. Personally I enjoyed Arkham Origins and Knight (Deathstroke boss fights hello?). Arkham Knight had a big open world and the Batmobile feature was dope but the story wasn't all that great and some of the side stuff was pretty repetetive. Still good games, don't deserve the hate at all.

    Asylum will always be my favorite, even though I 100% see the argument for City being the better game. Just how dope Asylum was at the time and how it managed to use a lot of villains without feeling saturated, for the most part.

    City was dope because there was that coop mode where you could play as Nightwing, among other things. Really liked the more open setting also.

    Since the poll only lets me choose one I’ll go with Asylum for nostalgia reasons but City is just as dope if not better imo.

    Asylum is clearly the best one. Smaller environment definitely fitted it more. Also it had the best atmosphere of them all and the best boss fights (not counting Joker one).

    Gotham Knights is a separate universe not tied to the Arkham games. Rocksteady's Suicide squad game is the Arkham Knight sequel and jury's out on Batman's role in that.

    Cutscenes and villain cast were p good. Just wish the world wasn’t so empty and the side missions weren’t so repetitive (mad hatter’s my fav. Arkham knight has a few too but it’s not this bad lol).

    I’m prolly most excited to play as nightwing and batgirl

    edit: also origins had a lot of cut and paste content like copperhead fight felt very similar to ra’s al ghul from city, Glue gun etc

    i just finished asylum too actually, dope game. a little dated with some stuff but still holds up overall. loved it.

    Lmao that and it seems kinda silly that he’d actually just off himself cause everybody knows his secret

    But the new game claims that he’s dead for some reason??

    There was this theory that he managed to let fear toxin rain on the city which only affects the criminals, who of course fear batman the most. Would explain the 100% ending with this big batman like creature attacking those thugs attempting to rob a family. But this could mean anything, it doesn't have to be Bruce in the costume. I still believe he's alive because it's Bruce Wayne we are talking about and he is always one step ahead of everyone lmao. Probably hiding and letting the new generation of heroes, who inherited The Batmans will, handle things.

    Arkham knight would’ve been the objectively best game if the focus on scarecrow was greater. Still had some really good side missions with Hush, Man-bat, Pig etc. The joker inside Batman’s head thing was crazy too. If only Arkham knight was written better and the constant barrage of drones could’ve been toned down....

    Btw do you think Bruce actually died?
