    iPhone mini is more expensive than I would have hoped...but is everything i want in a phone. time to upgrade my 6 year old device

    Apple have become so boring since Steve died, honestly. They’re making consistently good phones but the excitement & innovation is gone. They just refine what’s already been done because they don’t have to do anything else.

    That business model won’t last forever though as seen by the consistent sales decline. I think this year will be a big hit out of Apple’s usual performance.

    main attraction for me is that the iphone mini is a smaller device. as close to the original iphone 5 in size as we'll ever get.

    Is 5G the main attraction of the new phone? I'm prob missing some tech stuff but I feel like every year it boils down to "um the camera is better and also it's more waterproof i guess." I mean it's def worth upgrading if your phone is 5+ years old, I'm just questioning how people still buy a new model every year lol

    also WTF @ the screen getting even bigger lol I have an 8+ and have large hands and I already feel like this has passed the upper limit.

    i hated that iPhone followed the android market and dropped the smaller size. but it's been even more baffling that out of the 50 android phones that are announced every year, that not a single one of those companies has released a smaller device. wildly untapped market and any one of them would have had that portion of the market cornered.

    give it 6 months and we'll be seeing smaller devices across every other company now. the entire industry is a bunch of followers.
